Scott L. Leventhal
Scott L. Leventhal is the co-founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Trillist. As a fourth generation developer, Mr. Leventhal has spent two decades in the real estate development business and has created an impressive portfolio of mixed-use and multifamily housing projects in the Southeastern U.S. In 2006 and only at the age of 28, Mr. Leventhal was recognized as one of “Atlanta’s Most Promising Young Stars” by the editors of Atlanta Business Chronicle in their annual “Up and Comers – 40 under 40” feature.
Joseph Kavana is the co-founder and Chairman of The Trillist Companies, Inc. Mr. Kavana is also the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of KGH International Development, LLC. As an active developer and investor in the real estate industry for more than 20 years, Mr. Kavana’s experience spans across different asset classes including land development, commercial/retail, multi-family and industrial.
Frank Spears is the Vice President of Construction of the Trillist Companies, Inc. whose career in construction spans over 38 years including holding top positions at some the nation’s most respected general contractors. During his tenure, he has managed the construction of many recognized developments in Atlanta, Georgia and throughout the Southeast with a portfolio value of over $1.5 billion.
Prior to joining the Trillist Companies, Inc., Mr. Spears was the past president of Balfour Beatty Construction’s Georgia Division. As leader of this Division, he primarily focused on the markets critical to the success of the Georgia Division and the leadership required for each. Mr. Spears was also the past president of SG Contracting, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia. He led this small commercial builder from May 2004 to February 2010. The firm focused primarily on the healthcare and education markets in addition to the financial, retail, and professional office markets. Prior to joining SG Contracting, Mr. Spears was the Managing Director and Executive Vice President for the Beck Group in Atlanta, Georgia. His responsibilities for this major, commercial builder included all Atlanta district office operations from business development through construction.
Mr. Spears holds BCE and MSCE degrees in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a former Board Member of the Georgia Tech Foundation, past Board Member and President of the Georgia Tech Alumni Association and the Board of Trustees for the Associated General Contractors of America – Georgia Branch, and a past Executive Committee Member of the Buckhead Coalition. Mr. Spears is an active volunteer for the Shepherd Center, Global Health Action, and the Woodruff Arts Center. He is an Atlanta native and a longtime member of the Capital City Club.
Erick Collazo is a Director of Development for the Trillist Companies, Inc. Mr. Collazo has a distinguished career developing landmark retail projects domestically and internationally.
With over 30 years of experience in the commercial, residential, office and entertainment real estate industry, Mr. Collazo was Vice President at the Mills Corporation (NYSE:SPG) for 17 years charged with the development of shopping and entertainment complexes, including Sawgrass Mills (Ft. Lauderdale, Florida), Grapevine Mills (Dallas, Texas) and Discover Mills (Atlanta, Georgia), he successfully developed over $1 billion worth of commercial real estate.
Mr. Collazo spearheaded the first Mills real estate investment development company to successfully acquire, develop and open a Pan European project, assembling a multi-international team as Director General of the Spanish development joint venture. Madrid Xanadu, a €380 million project located in Madrid, Spain, with an indoor ski facility, was welcomed with renowned success as Europe’s largest entertainment shopping complex.
Mr. Collazo has also consulted on the re-development of the Fashion Mall in Plantation, Florida, Palm Beach Lakes Mall in West Palm, Florida, Poyner Place in Raleigh, North Carolina, Flagler Station in Miami, Florida representing clients such AEW, Centro Properties, Flagler Development, Madison Marquette, ORIX Capital Markets, United Growth, US Capital and K Group Holdings. Mr. Collazo is also Managing Member of MBA Development Partners focused on developing health care facilities.
Mr. Collazo holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Building Construction from the University of Florida. Mr. Collazo is involved in various organizations, including the Brain Injury Association of Florida and is an Advisory Council Member to the State of Florida’s Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Program. His wife, Heydie, and children, Andrew and Auston, make their home in Boca Raton, Florida.
Scott Greenfield is a Director of Development Services for Trillist and has spent more than 12 years within the development industry focusing on development, financing and marketing of luxury residential developments.
Mr. Greenfield was most recently Vice President of Development with Atlanta-based Novare Group, which is one of the nation’s largest urban high-rise development companies, where he managed the development of Novare’s Texas portfolio of luxury mixed-use high-rise rental communities, consisting of nearly 1,300 units valued at more than $450 million. He was also responsible for the disposition of its Atlanta portfolio consisting of 1,400 for-sale condominiums valued at $390 million.
Prior to Novare, Mr. Greenfield was Vice President of Development and Operations for Wood Partners, where he negotiated and reviewed loan modifications, and was responsible for project strategies and execution of sales activity for all residential for-sale and mixed-used projects within the $150 million Atlanta portfolio. He was also actively involved in the acquisition, disposition, development, and financing of $350 million of residential assets consisting of over 1,300 units. He was also directly involved in the formation of Wood Partners’ Advisory Services Group, which provided asset management services for REO and distressed assets. Mr. Greenfield has also held senior level positions with GE Power Systems, CIGNA Healthcare and SAP America.
Mr. Greenfield is a graduate of the Urban Land Institute’s 2014 Center for Leadership. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a major in Finance from the Warrington College of Business Administration at the University of Florida.
